CT Technologist CTA Masters course:
An intensive hands-on course for CT Techs
Course Overview
Cardiac CT Angiography requires new skills and expertise in order to obtain high quality images and to manage the extensive post-processing of 3-D and 4-D studies. Our 3 Day CT Technologist CTA Masters Course is an intensive immersion in all aspects of Cardiac CT Angiography from start to finish.
This course is a small group tutorial with one-on-one instruction from our highly experienced CT Tech and Nursing staff. Our technologists have performed thousands of Cardiac CT Angiography studies and our center excels at efficiently obtaining consistently high quality studies.
Day 1 of the CT Technologist CTA Masters Course emphasizes protocols for patient preparation, managing patient heart rate, scan setup, contrast injections and protocols, and CT Angiography Post-Processing. You will also receive hands-on instruction on the TeraRecon Workstation performing calciuim scoring, 3-D and 4-D image techniques, ventricular function analysis and report generation.
Days 2 and 3 will be an intensive, hands-on opportunity to assist in performing 35 to 50 contast and non-contrast cardiac studies on a Siemens Sensation 64 Slice CT Scanner. By the completion of the course, each participant should be be able to set up, scan and post-process Cardiac CT Angiograms from start to completion with minimal assistance.
Course Objectives:
